IoT – Internet of Things – has become a common life of our every day.
Here are several examples of devices and things that can be commonly used today. Our personal lifes have benefited from this technology in many regards and it would be a shame to lose these benefits in companies since they have the ability to increase efficiency, lower cots or remove negative phenomena.
IoT and Our Personal Lives
I have put together a brief list of devices and their benefits. Each shows you how big of a help IoT is. The same help is also offered to companies.
smart lightbulbs and lights
They enable controling lights remotely over the smartphone or voice assistants which leads to efficient energy management.
smart thermostats
These thermostats can be remotely controled and can learn user preferences which can lead to lower energy costs.
smart watches and fitness bands
These devices monitor activity, heart rate and other health data. In a hectic world, we stil have the chance to work on our health.
smart tvs
They allow access to streaming services, social networks and other applications directly from the screen. We can better manage our entertainment.
smart speakers with voice assistants
For examle Amazon Echo or Google Home can control other smart devices, search information online, play music and much more. We are busy in our homes but thanks to the assistants, we don’t have to stop to do something else.
smart locks and security systems
They allow controlling locks and monitoring home security remotely. We can evaluate if the alarm went off because our fault or if there is another problem.
smart fridges and coffee machines
Some modern kitchen appliances can be controlled via a smart phone, cooking can be planned or food can even be ordered.
smart cars
Some modern vehicles offer functions steming from IoT, like diagnostics, location monitoring or even an autopilot.

Automated irrigation systems can be programed and controlled through smart devices to work efficiencly with water.

Toys can be connected to the Internet and enable remote interactions or personalized play time.

They enable us to see who is at the door even if we are not at home and communicate with the visitors.
Majority of these technologies is becoming still more available and common and so it has become an inseparable part of our lives. Imagine if you can conserve resources, use your time more efficiently and have better experiences in your personal life, how can the business life benefit as well.
