Challenge
Insurance brokerage PM BOHEMIA deals with consultations and advice in all areas of the insurance industry. Corporate customers also include the TCPRO team. Thanks to the close cooperation, it was only logical that PM BOHEMIA turned to The Cloud Provider with its technical requirements.
Insurance brokerage BOHEMIA works in an industry that does not require special equipment and is therefore not necessary to be tied to one place. Except the computer. Brokers were thus limited in their work by the fact that all activities that had to be processed on the computer had to wait until they were back in the office.
This made the work less efficient, because when visiting customers or working from home, it was necessary to use intermediate steps before the documentation could be processed. PM BOHEMIA thus decided to use local cloud and remote desktop technology, which they wanted to have not only deployed, but also managed.
Solution
PM BOHEMIA had a clear vision of its step forward. The public cloud was out of the question, and the remote desktop had to be well-secured, functional as needed, and priced accordingly. The TCPRO team managed to fully fulfill the combination of these parameters.
We used the CLOUDPOINT virtual data center environment for the operation of PM BOHEMIA systems, and the remote desktop was deployed exactly according to the brokers’ needs, so a completely new working world opened up for them.
As with any other change, during the transition of PM BOHEMIA to the CLOUDPOINT environment, it was necessary to clarify what the brokerage actually needs and what services will best suit them. This is often a problematic point, because the translation of company needs into the IT world may not be simple.
Another hurdle was finding a way to migrate the brokerage system. Thanks to their experience, our technicians prepared an individual solution that enabled a change in technology, but with the preservation of all functions and coverage of needs. The obstacle has been overcome.
In addition, so that the brokerage does not have to worry about its equipment, the TCPRO team also provides a prophylactic check of virtual servers on a monthly basis. This includes, among other things, checking the application and system log, cleaning temporary files and storage, anti-virus scanning or optimizing free disk space. The computing resources of the CLOUDPOINT product were thus freely connected to the TECHPOINT service.

Result
Thanks to the cloud environment and remote desktop, brokers can access the systems from anywhere at any time. It doesn’t matter if they work from home or just went to see a client. And regardless of where they work from, their data are always as secure as possible.
