Digitalization and Engaging Modern Technologies for a Fraction of the Cost

The subsidy has a deadline at the beginning of November and offers small and mid-sized businesses finances to obtain modern technologies, automation and digitalization.
Small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) are the center of attention within the call Virtual enterprise (Operational program technologies and applications for competitiveness). It focuses on economic transformation, increasing efficiency and utilizing the contributions of digitalization. In practise that means that SMBs can receive a contribution to purchase and implement advanced non-production technologies.
Practical Utilization of Technologies
Increasing automation and digitalization is one of the top priorities European Union has. That. is also being projected into the financial support being announced on national levels. Some companies are, however, still afraid of these modern approaches and cannot really imagine what it really entails.
Let’s look at some specific exammples how the support can be practically used to make your commpany more efficient through the use of data collection and vizualization:
- Monitoring of energy consumption and ensuring energy efficiency
- Monitoring specific parameters and ensuring their adherence to correct values and levels
- Monitoring of consumption and timely uncovering of potential leaks
- Automated report making (for exampe for food industry audits)
- Spoilage prevention
- Efficient logistics planning
This is just a list of examples, each company is individual and its needs have to be approched in that manner.
Outside of the Internet of Things, the support is also applicable to using the financial resources to renew company infrastructure. Cloud and its various forms are still in big resistance from many SMBs. Thanks to this call, companies can ensure not only the implementation of modern architecture but also the training the expertise of technicians.
Call Details
Support is focused on increase functionality of a product, developing online services, modernizing processes or shifting to business models that are straightening the supply chain.
A basic condition that has to be fulfilled within the call is the contribution of ne technoliges. They have to ensure a new functionality or interconnection with the ERP system. New equipment cannot be procurred if it only replaced the original solution and doesn’t bring any new functionality.
Financial support is paid out retrospectively. Small companies can apply to a contribution of up to 40% of costs, mid-sized can apply for up to 30%. The site of project can range from CZK 250 000 to CZK 4,8 mil. Only the project cannot take place in Prague.
Activities that are supported are related to the purchase of ICT products and services. This can include investments into software, hardware or expert consultations.

- Purchase on non-production technologies creating a functional whole for the efficient management and operations of a company
- Robotic autonomous machines for transporting products or cleaning
- WMS
- Connectivity
- Smart sensors for monitoring operational parameters (IoT)
- Cybersecurity
- IT certifications
- BIM a CDE systems
- Digital twin
- Infrastructure as a Service or any other IT in the form of a service
