We would like to make this article as an introduction. We would like to show you what we really do and what we really don’t do.
When you produce or sell physical products, it is unlikely that someone doesn’t understand what you do. It is hard to imagine you would display tables and chairs in front of your shop and the passerbys would not get what you sell and why should they like it. But in IT, the situation is different from the time of the advent of the virtualization.
We understand the computer, we get the apps because we see them on the screen. But what is someone sells a cloud – do I get a drop? We would like to make this article as an introduction. We would like to show you what we really do and what we really don’t do.
We substitute physical IT in companies – YES
As a virtual data center provider – one of the forms of the public cloud – we provide you with a full company IT infrastructure as a Service. You may be accustommed to operating your servers from a data center or just to have in a server room and take care of it. In both cases, all the of physical equipment is replaced by our cloud. Instead you receive a service with all the personal help. Cloud also runs in a data center but you don’t have to take care of anything else than having your virtual infrastructure up and running. All problems are resolved by our dedicated technicians and helpdesk that never sleeps.
Some companies are reluctant to switch to cloud and in certain cases it is understandable. But someone is afraid of the lack of security or doesn’t take into account benefits that cloud has over the physical servers. We have thought of these fears and areas and we have put together articles that shed light on these topics. We Replace Internal Systems – NO
When we talk about virtual data center being the substitute for physical infrastructure, we only mean this “chasis” that ia underneath the company apps. ERP, CRM, accountind and the other systems are simply applications that have to run somewhere. Just we are used to running Word on our computer, maybe we had to learn to run it via the Office 365. Nothing really changed for you – but the Word no longer runs on your computer – it runs in the cloud, onn physical servers in a data center.
Just like your company systems could still be running on physical servers, somme may already be running in the form of a service – somewhere in the cloud. And that somewhere could be the virtual data center. You wouldn’t ask your golf club manufacturer to give you access to the course. Which is why we don’t offer applications, only the environment where they can efficiently run (in other words, you get IaaS from us).
Substitute to Virtual Private Servers – YES
No longer is the virtual private server the only way how to have infrastructure as a Service. Today it is not necesssary to purchase preconfigured servers. Virtual data center (VDC) gives your technicians the ability to build virtual servers as they are needed. Of course, without a thoroug analysis you cannot say if VDC is the perfect fit but there is a big chance given you using more than one virtual server.
From the management point of view there are several important aspects to know about to be able to assess the suitability of VPS or VDC. For your technicians this transition means getting to know the new environment – functionalities and usability are intact. But there is a big difference in invoicing clarity, IT costs and an overall overview of resource efficiency (read more about cloud gluttons).
Full Cloud Management – NO
Even though we do provide cloud and we operate everything that is related to it, we do not enter your environment. When youu receive your logins to the VDC, we stay behind the gates. We take care of the physical infrastructure and the cloud architecture to function properly but what you do in your virtual data center is a complete mystery to us from two main points.
First, to ensure the highest security of your systems and data. We don’t have access to your srvers so we cannot access your systems or data. Access to your IT is therefore restricted to those you authorize. At the same time, we do not interfere with the work of your technicians. They adapt it to your needs and we are just a helping hand when needed.
Of course, we won’t let you stranded when you need a full service but we prefer to stick to our philosophy for only your employees having access to your environment.
Full IT Provider – YES
We do put a great emphasis on our cloud solution but that does not prevent us from focusing also on other activities. For those that need physical infrastructure we can work on a hybrid solution. We also have a nonstop monitoring center and a L0-L2 helpdesk. Our team fully devotes their time to take care of our customers from A to Z.
Cloud Storage Provider – NO and NO and NO
Cloud is not storage and such application is not in our portfolio. This, however, doesn’t have to stop you from deploying a database or storage in your own virtual data center. Our chasis, virtual data center, is ready to run any servers, operating systems and applications. You can run licenses or open-source software.
